Chat Workspace is a Chrome extension for ChatGPT and Claude. It saves chats into folders with notes, keeps a prompt library, and searches what you saved. This policy covers the extension and this website.
What is stored, and where
Your saved chats, folders, notes, prompts, and settings are stored in Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device. They are not sent to a Chat Workspace server. For each saved chat, the extension keeps only the chat's URL, its title, and the note you write. It never reads the text of your messages.
No account, analytics, or ads
Chat Workspace does not ask you to create an account. The extension and this website use no analytics, no ads, and no tracking cookies.
Pro and payments
Pro costs $9 a month or $69 a year. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, on its own checkout page, and its privacy policy covers payment data. The extension never sees your card details.
The extension's only network call is the license check with Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com). When you activate, validate (at most once a day), or deactivate Pro, it sends only your license key, a device instance id, and the name "Chat Workspace (Chrome)". Your chats, folders, notes, and prompts are never sent.
Refunds are handled through Lemon Squeezy. To ask for one, email [email protected].
Export and import
You can export your library as a JSON file and import it again. These files stay wherever you save them. License details are never included in an export.
If you write to [email protected], that message is used to reply to you.
ChatGPT and Claude
Chat Workspace is not affiliated with OpenAI or Anthropic. Chats you open inside ChatGPT or Claude are also subject to the privacy practices of those products.
